SONG OF THE WEEK: La Isla Bonita

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of "True Blue" (1986), the song of week is "LA ISLA BONITA" (The Beautiful Island).

It was released as the albums final single. The song was originally written for Michael Jackson, but was later accepted by Madonna, in which she wrote the lyrics with Patrick Leonard. The song is noted to be Madonna's first song to have a Spanish influence with arrangement of Cuban drums and Spanish guitar, maracas, harmonicas and mix of synthesized and real drumming.

The songs achieved worldwide popularity, topping in countries such as Austria, Canada, France, Germany and Switzerland. It also became Madonna's fourth number-one single in the United Kingdom, giving her a record for the most number one-singles by a female artist. In the United States, it reached number four.

In the Studio

We will not stop to hear, MADONNA is in the studio and rumors fuse. According to our friend Robert Venegas , which is always well informed about the Madonna, what is happening currently in the studio will make many fans happy.

Apparently MADONNA would have refused to work with producers known as RedOne although Live Nation asked him. The producers selected are almost all unknown, MADONNA reportedly wrote most of the texts from his pen. Joe Henry's brother in law but also producer of the game is for two reasons.

A title would be saved, it would be a demo Diagram Of The Heart entitled "WAY BACK HOME". The title begins with the violin and the piano to finish on the dance music.

In addition MADONNA is inspired by Beth Ditto (Gossip), Jessica 6, The Sound of Arrow.

Output is planned for November, it all depends on the work done in the studio.

I Can't Help... crying

One pop icon remembers another. We’ve just heard from Madonna on Jackson’s death:

“I can’t stop crying over the sad news. I have always admired Michael Jackson. The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever!
My heart goes out to his three children and other members of his family. God bless.”

King of Pop: Dead

On June 25, 2009, Jackson collapsed at a rented home on North Carolwood Drive in the Holmby Hills area of Los Angeles. Attempts at resuscitating him by his personal physician were unsuccessful. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics received a 911 call at 12:21 pm (PDT), and arrived nine minutes later at Jackson's location. He was reportedly not breathing and CPR was performed. Resuscitation efforts continued both en route to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, and for an hour further after arriving at approximately 1:14 pm (20:14 UTC). He was noted to have already been in cardiac arrest by the paramedics who attended his house. Jackson died at 2:26 pm local time (21:26 UTC).
May the king of pop rest in peace.

Your Frozen

MadonnaTribe have reported that "Frozen" will be included on the new setlist of the "Sticky & Sweet Tour" replacing the un-favourite version of "Hung Up"

MadonnaTribe report:

The MadonnaTribe team has heard some more exclusive tidbits coming from the rehearsals of Madonna's Sticky and Sweet Tour 2009. After hearing and reporting first that Holiday will be replacing Heartbeat and a rocky version of Dress You Up, played on a guitar riff calling to mind The Knack's song "My Sharona", will take the place of Bordeline in the Old School part of the show we heard that there's another surprising song change in the show. This time the surprising news is that a dance version of the 1998 hit single Frozen is being rehearsed in the place of the "not so loved by fans" "Rock guitar version" of Hung Up! Frozen, written by Madonna and Patrick Leonard has already been played twice live on Madonna tours: in 2001's Drowned World Tour and in 2004's re-Invention Tour.
