Hard Candy is the eleventh studio album by American singer-songwriter Madonna and was first released on April 25, 2008 by Warner Bros. Records. It was her final studio album with the record company before a Greatest Hits album, marking the end of a 25 year recording history. The album debuted at #1 in 37 countries. The album was supported by the Sticky & Sweet Tour.

Confessions on a Dance Floor

Confessions on a Dance Floor is the tenth studio album by American singer-songwriter Madonna, released on November 15, 2005 by Warner Bros. Records. The RIAA certified it Gold & Platinum on December 14, 2005, and according to Nielsen Soundscan has sold an additional 675,000 copies. It sold over three million copies in its first month of release in Europe and has reached sales of 12 million copies worldwide to date. It was the 6th best selling album of 2005. In 2006, a limited edition remix album Confessions Remixed was released to promote the album. The album won a Grammy Award for Best Electronic/Dance Album in 2007.

Remixed & Revisited

Remixed & Revisited is the second remix compilation by American singer-songwriter Madonna, released on November 24, 2003 by Maverick Records. It was released to promote the album American Life and is considered in some countries as a single, and in others as an album. It sold an estimated one million copies worldwide. Following a lawsuit between Maverick and Warner Music Group, Madonna agreed to sell her shares and interest in Maverick. It is the closing release with the record company and marks the end of their 12 year recording history with the label.

American Life

American Life is the ninth studio album by American singer-songwriter Madonna, released on April 22, 2003 by Maverick Records. The RIAA certified it platinum on July 7, 2003, in recognition of one million shipments throughout the United States, where it has sold 674,000 copies up to November 2008, being the 32 best selling album worldwide of 2003. It is the final studio album with Maverick in 2004 before a Warner Bros. Records-based album Confessions on a Dance Floor release in November 2005, marking the end of a 12 year recording history between Madonna and Maverick.

GHV2 - Greatest Hits Volume 2

GHV2 (an abbreviation of Greatest Hits Volume 2) is the second greatest hits compilation by American singer-songwriter Madonna, released on November 12, 2001 by Maverick Records. It is the follow-up to the 1990 release, The Immaculate Collection. It does not contain any new recordings and was released to coincide with the live video release, Drowned World Tour 2001. The RIAA certified it Gold & Platinum on Dec 12, 2001, denoting one million shipments in the United States. Worldwide, the album has sold more than seven million units. It was the 12th best selling album of 2001. A promotional only remix album, GHV2 Remixed: The Best of 1991—2001, was released to accompany it.

Music is the eighth studio album by American singer-songwriter Madonna, released on September 19, 2000 by Maverick Records. On its release, it set a new company record for Warner Music International (WMI) in shipping three million units worldwide, and entered the charts at number one position in 15 countries. The RIAA certified it Triple Platinum on November 21, 2005, recognising 3 million shipments throughout the United States, making it her eighth best-selling recording there. Worldwide, the album has sold 10 million units. A two-disc Special Edition was released in June 2001 to promote the Drowned World Tour, containing an additional CD of remixes and the video of "What It Feels Like for a Girl". It has been named by Rolling Stone magazine as one of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Ray of Light

Ray of Light is the seventh studio album by American singer-songwriter Madonna, released on March 3, 1998 by Maverick Records. The RIAA certified it Quadruple Platinum on March 16, 2000, recognizing four million shipments in the United States, making it her fifth best-selling recording there. In 1999, the album received three Grammy Awards, including "Best Pop Vocal Album", and "Best Dance Recording." In 2003, the album was ranked #363 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. In 2002, Q Magazine named it the 2nd Greatest Album of All-Time by a Female Artist. The album has sold 14 million copies worldwide.

Bedtime Stories

Bedtime Stories is the sixth studio album by American singer-songwriter Madonna, released on October 25, 1994 by Maverick Records. In 1995, it was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Pop Vocal Album category. The RIAA certified it Gold and Platinum on January 5, 1995, and triple platinum on November 21, 2005, recognizing three million shipments throughout the United States. Worldwide, the album has sold over 6 million copies.

Erotica

Erotica is the fifth studio album by American singer-songwriter Madonna, released on October 20, 1992 by Maverick Records. The album was released simultaneously with Madonna's first book publication, Sex. The RIAA certified it double platinum on January 6, 1993, recognizing two million shipments throughout the U.S. The album has sold over five million copies worldwide to date.

Madonna's intentions were that the album would be an accompaniment to her book Sex, which share the same cover photograph—a colored reverse negative of Madonna's face done à la Andy Warhol, from whom Madonna found much inspiration during her so-called "Erotica period" (for example, her "Erotica" and "Deeper and Deeper" videos were shot in near identical style to many of Warhol's films, with Madonna paying obvious homage to Edie Sedgwick in the latter). The photos included in the album's liner notes also come from the Steven Meisel Studio photographs shot for the Sex book.

The Immaculate Collection

The Immaculate Collection is a remix album by American singer-songwriter Madonna, released on November 13, 1990 by Sire Records. It contains newly remixed versions of her greatest hits from 1982 to 1990, as well as two new tracks "Justify My Love" and "Rescue Me". The album includes eight of her twelve U.S. number one singles and five of thirteen U.K. number ones.
The RIAA certified it Diamond on October 11, 2001, recognizing ten million shipments throughout the United States, making it her best-selling album there. In the UK, the BPI certified it 12.00x Multi-Platinum, for sales of 3.6 million copies, making it the tenth best-selling album of all-time in the U.K, and making her the most successful female act in UK album chart history. The album is the best-selling compilation ever released by a female artist, with over 26 million copies sold worldwide.

I'm Breathless

I'm Breathless - Music from and Inspired by the film Dick Tracy is the second soundtrack album by American singer-songwriter Madonna, released on May 22, 1990, by Sire Records. It was recorded to promote and accompany the motion picture, released in the summer of 1990. The RIAA certified it Gold, Platinum & 2x Platinum on Jul 30, 1990, denoting two million shipments in the United States & worldwide has sold more than 5 million copies.

Like a Prayer

Like a Prayer is the fourth studio album by American singer-songwriter Madonna, released on March 21, 1989 by Sire Records. The RIAA certified it Quadruple Platinum on July 16 1997, recognizing four million shipments in the U.S. - making it her seventh best-selling album there. Worldwide, it has sold more than 15 million copies.

True Blue

True Blue is the third studio album by American singer-songwriter Madonna and released on June 30, 1986 by Sire Records. Madonna worked with Stephen Bray and Patrick Leonard on this album while co-writing all the songs. Deemed as Madonna's most girlish album, True Blue deals with her visions of love, work, dreams as well as disappointments and was inspired by her then husband Sean Penn, to whom Madonna dedicated the album. Musically, the songs on this album took a different direction from her previous endeavours and incorporated classical music in her songs, in order to engage an older audience who have been sceptical to her music previously. The album has songs talking about love, freedom and in some cases about social issues like teenage pregnancy, in "Papa Don't Preach" while featuring instrumentation from rhythmic and acoustic guitars, drums, synthesizers and Cuban musical instruments.

Like a Virgin

Like a Virgin is the second studio album by American singer-songwriter Madonna, released on November 12, 1984 by Sire Records. The album was re-released in 1985 world wide (not in North America) with the bonus track "Into the Groove." In 2001, Warner Bros. released a remastered version with two bonus remix tracks (this version did not include "Into the Groove"). The RIAA certified it Diamond on May 21, 1998, recognizing ten million shipments in the United States. Worldwide, the album has sold over 21 million copies.

Madonna is the debut album by American singer-songwriter Madonna, released on July 27, 1983 by Sire Records. The album was re-released in 1985 for the European market and re-packaged as Madonna - The First Album. In 2001, Warner Bros. released a remastered version with two bonus remix tracks. The RIAA certified it Gold on May 31, 1984 & 5x Platinum on 3 October 2000, recognizing five million shipments throughout the United States. Worldwide, the album has sold 8 million copies.
